In honor of Fossil Fighter's 10th anniversary (4/17/18), I'm hosting an MAP (multi animator project) to celebrate!

Since not a ton of people in the fandom animate, I'm also allowing people to do PMV-style parts so that they're able to participate. Flipnotes are also allowed!

So far we've decided that it will be scripted and focus on some important scenes and the final battles in all three games. We have a Google Drive folder with a bunch of ref photos and the script if anyone is interested in checking it out!: drive.google.com/drive/u/1/fol…

Well, it's been a while since I've updated over here. I thought I'd let you guys know what my goals are art-wise for the new year! I should be posting a bit more here, but most of my activity will (hopefully) be over on the Broken Silence Tumblr blog.

So yeah, goals for the year:

-Get at least 2-5 full art pieces done per month (last year my goal was 1-2, and I met that, so increasing it seems fair!)

-Get done one character reference sheet a week/every other week (for Broken Silence)

-Get done at least the prologue of Broken Silence (writing is done, I just need to finish references and design it)


I also plan on creating a Paypal account in June once I turn 18 (and I'm definitely not prepared for that birthday, let me tell you...), so commissions will be probably be open over the summer! I also plan on setting up a Patreon account to raise some more extra money that I can save up for college after I graduate next year. It's gonna be one heck of a ride the next few years... but I'm going to try to manage.

1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I joined back in October of 2010. I'll have been on here five years on October 18th.

2. What does your username mean?
It actually has origins from my Youtube username, which I had before joining here. When I made my Youtube back in 2009, I had made a sorta "fan character" that was literally a mash-up of a sky form Shaymin (a Pokemon) and the character Marx from Kirby Superstar Ultra. At the time, those were my two favorite games, and while the character doesn't really resonant with me anymore, I still like using the username.

3. Describe yourself in three words.
Quiet, creative, and sympathetic. It's hard to just use three but... I think those words fit pretty well.

4. Are you left or right handed?
Right-handed.

5. What was your first deviation?
It was actually a picture of the character I mentioned in #2! I think I deleted it a while ago while cleaning out my gallery... It was extremely old and done on MS Paint...

6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
I love doing digital art, and I've come to be really good at it, but I also love doing mixed media traditional art (ink and colored pencil mostly)!

7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I would love to be able to master realism. Right now I'm trying to work on getting my style somewhere between realistic and toony.

8. What was your first favourite?

(Ironically, the one I though it was was actually my second-ever favorite).

9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Mostly it's fanart, art of mythical creatures/general animals, or my friends'/people I admire's art and OC drawings.

10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
I can't really choose one, because there are so many great artists. However, some of the favorites, and those that have inspired me the most, would have to be , , and .

11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I'd love to meet any of my art idols above, or the awesome friends I've come to meet on here. To name a few, , , , and .

12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
All of the friends I mentioned above, as well as others that aren't listed, have really given me hope for a lot of reasons. They've inspired me to keep writing and drawing even when I felt my work wasn't good enough (this goes for my watchers as well), and they've also been some of my closest (and this point, only) friends, and I'm so happy to have them around.

Also, mechanicalmasochist is one of the reasons I've ended up going vegetarian, and in the future vegan, for ethical reasons.

13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
For digital art, GIMP and a Wacom tablet. For traditional art, I switch between Fabercastel and Prismacolor pens, and I usually just use a mix of whatever colored pencils I have around.

14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I love sitting outside to draw. My neighborhood is really quiet, and when the weather's good (or a bit rainy), the outdoors can be really peaceful to work in.

15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I don't have a specific memory, but I honestly love remembering how I got to know specific people on here! Some of you have been here since I started, and some I've met very recently, but I can still remember meeting you all and it's great to look back on that sometimes.
