Trilobite WIP by ShayminMarx Trilobite WIP by ShayminMarx
A foot-long Trilobite sculpture for a mold my old school is making. (God I love these little guys, but this was really hard to make... =_=")

My former elementary/middle school started a renovation project last year that should be finishing up sometime soon. While I was there last year, my Science teacher notified me that they were getting a grant to create state themed landscaping at the front entrance of the school. My homeroom teacher and him asked me if I could sculpt a Trilobite (a prehistoric bug-like creature) that he could use to make a mold and eventually cement stones for it. After a couple weeks of tweaking it, I finally got it to look how I want. :) Once the landscaping is finished I'll post some pictures of the cement Trilobites. :D

It's really an honor that I got to make this. :) Plus I really like working with the natural clay :D

Aw, thanks! :) I've had it sitting for around 5 days and it still hasn't dried completely, but I think it got denser because it's much heavier now. :XD:

Pretty sweet sculpture, Shay!

I think it's just me, but it kinda looks like a big cookie.

Thank you!

Actually, it looks even more like a cookie in real life because of its color (the picture made it look whiter). It's a brownish clay. Ha ha! :XD:

Regardless, it was good.

I remember when I made a clay thingy for my Grd. 7 Art Class.
